HIROSHIMA 25K

HIROSHIMA 25K

The shortest race of the weekend is the one most tied to the city itself. It opens with a riverside warm-up, then climbs three peaks above Hiroshima, with a panoramic view of downtown and the bay. The organiser names AS1 Gamagatao and Mt. Ushita on the way, and describes a course of roads, mountain trails, city streets and riverbanks, with waterfalls, shrines and views of the Seto Inland Sea. It finishes back at Hiroshima Gate Park.

The six-hour limit puts the final finish at 14:00, and the organiser expects the first runner after about 1 hour 50 minutes. Runners can leave one bag of their own supplies waiting at the finish. The 25K runs on the Sunday, the day after the 100K and 50K, so the 100K’s last finishers, who have until 11:00, are still coming in while the 25K is out on the course.

This page belongs to the 2027 HIROSHIMA 25K. A Livebib link shows family the runner’s position on the course line, the distance covered and a finish estimate that updates as the race goes. Anything estimated is marked as estimated. If the phone loses signal in a forested valley, the position is carried forward along the course instead of freezing. No account or app is needed, and the runner decides who gets the link.
