Härnö Trail Mellan 14 km

It starts gently on the lit ski track before narrowing onto the first trail: rock slabs, deep forest and a bog. Flat running past Holmbergsmyran leads to a climb toward Bockberget and slabs down to Örsjön, then the hard climb to the viewpoint on Örsjöberget. That is where the 14 km leaves the long course, keeping left through winding paths among crevices and rock and past a cave the organiser calls Flinta-grotta.

It rejoins the 21 km for the steep, roughly 400-metre climb up the face of Speckstaberget, then runs down to a short climb onto Himmelsberget, over slabs and sandy paths to Norra Utsikten with its view over Härnösand, and up the last short rise to the mast above the arena. Aid stations stand at Mårtensmyran (3.5 km), Örsjövägen/Specksta (8.6 km) and Himmelsberget (11.2 km). The organiser describes it as very technical, with ropes on the steepest passages.
