Fjällmaraton 100K
The premier ultra distance of Fjällmaratonveckan sets off at dawn into the vast wilderness of southern Årefjällen. Runners cross open mountain plateaus, technical boulder fields and birch forests surrounding the Ottfjället massif, reaching Östertoppen at 1,265 metres. The course links the fells around Vålådalen, Hållfjället and Trillevallen before descending toward the shores of Ottsjön to finish in the fell village of Ottsjö.
With 3,300 metres of climbing spread across rolling Arctic terrain, pacing and weather management dictate the race.
