Eryri 80K

It is the only point-to-point race of the weekend and the only one that starts by the sea. The organiser describes a fast, runnable opening from Caernarfon towards the mountains, then a steep and exposed climb towards Yr Wyddfa, past llyns and ancient woodland, and a fast descent into Llanberis. Coastal paths, remote trails and high mountain ground, on historic paths and quarry tracks through the slate country.

With 2,500 m over 78 km it is the most runnable distance of the weekend, but an evening start means much of it is run at night. Larger aid stations offer hot food and drinks; no aid-station distances or cut-offs are published on the race page. The organiser runs a shuttle to the start; note that the page dates its departures to “Friday the 15th”, which does not match the race date.

This page covers the 2027 edition. Starting at 20:00 with sixteen hours available, the finish falls on Saturday for the whole field, and the family in Llanberis wakes up to a runner somewhere on the mountain. If the runner shares their own Livebib link, they see the position on the course line, distance covered and a finish estimate that updates as the race goes. Where the signal drops, the position is carried forward and marked as estimated.
