Course & challenge

ERYRI 25K

The shortest race of the weekend still climbs 1,300 m, on what the organiser calls scenic mountain trail and rugged terrain. The race page lists 25 km and one aid station, serving cold drinks, water, cola and energy products. It does not give a turn-by-turn description; the map and GPX are on the organiser’s page.

With 5 h 30 for 25 km and over a thousand metres of climbing, it is the entry into the Eryri weekend for runners who are comfortable on steep, rough ground but not ready for the night races. It is also the last race to start, on Sunday morning, while the slowest 100M runners still have until 14:00 that day.

This page covers the 2027 edition. One aid station on 25 km of mountain trail means long stretches where nobody sees the runner. If the runner carries a phone and shares their own Livebib link, family and friends see the position on the course line, distance covered and a finish estimate that updates as the race goes. Where the signal drops, the position is carried forward along the course and marked as estimated, never as measured.
