Ten kilometres around Rällaskogen

An autumn race on Öland: ten kilometres of trail paths in the countryside around Ekerum and the Rällaskogen forest, starting and finishing at Ekerum Resort.

Ekerumsloppet is run on Saturday 3 October 2026, with the start and finish at Ekerum Resort. The organisers describe it as a challenging autumn race on trail paths through the nature around Ekerum and Rällaskogen. The main race is 10 kilometres, in men’s and women’s classes, with the first start at 11:00. An hour earlier, at 10:00, young runners take on 1.3 kilometres in the boys’ and girls’ classes for 13 and under; the classes for 11 and under are not timed.

The race is organised by Högby IF, which under the Öland Running name puts on a long list of races across the island through the year, among them Ölands Tjurrus, Öland Ultra, Böda Beachrun and Ölands Marathon. Ekerumsloppet has results published from 2016 onward. The race page carries no detailed course map, climbing figure or list of drink stations, so anyone who wants to know more about the terrain is best off asking Högby IF directly. What is clear is the shape: ten kilometres of trail, not tarmac, on a Saturday in October.

The youth race at ten and the main race at eleven make it a day the whole family can attend — but whoever stands at the finish cannot see the trails in the forest. With Livebib the runner shares a link to their own broadcast, and family and friends open it in a browser, with no account and no app. They see where on the course line the runner is, how far she has come, and a finish estimate that updates during the race. If the phone loses signal, the position is carried forward along the course and marked as estimated, never as measured.
