Coast to Coast Mountain Run

Thirty and a half kilometres of the Coast to Coast’s middle leg, run as its own race: up the Deception River bed, over Goat Pass at 1,070 metres and down the Mingha to Klondyke Corner. There is no marked trail — the route is the river, crossed and re-crossed dozens of times — and the pass is in the middle of the Southern Alps with no road access at all.

It is the leg that makes Coast to Coast what it is, and the one competitors most often want to try before committing to the whole crossing. This page belongs to the 2027 edition of the Mountain Run.
