Alliansloppet, live.

Three times over Oscarsbron

One 16-kilometre asphalt lap beside the Göta älv falls in Trollhättan, skied once, twice or three times — in classic technique only.

Alliansloppet is the roller ski race of Trollhättan Action Week. In 2026 it is skied on Saturday 29 August from the arena at Hansenplatsen and Tunet in the falls area, with the start on Oscarsbron. The organiser describes it as having grown, since the first race in 2007, into the largest roller ski competition in the world, and the elite race is also a stop in the FIS Roller Ski World Cup. Every class is classic technique; skating means disqualification.

The lap follows the west side of the river and is, in the organiser’s words, easy-going with no hard descents. The first climb is Landbergsliden, with a pole depot at the top, and the drink station stands at Båberg halfway round. Outside the arena the roads are marked but not closed, so normal traffic rules apply. The 48, 32 and 16 km motion classes start from 09:00, the junior race at 08:45, and the elite women and men at 12:15 and 12:45. Motion skiers on the 48 must be out on their last lap by 11:20, and that race also counts as seeding for Vasaloppet 2027.

A lap race is easy to watch from one place and hard to time: a supporter on Oscarsbron needs to know when their skier comes round, not roughly where they are. With Livebib the skier shares a link to their own broadcast; family open it in a browser, with no account and no app, and see the skier on the lap, the distance covered and an estimate for the next pass through the arena that updates as the race goes. Anything estimated is marked as estimated, and the skier decides who gets the link.
