Valencia Half Marathon 2026: Sunday 25 October
The certified distance is 21,097.5 metres on asphalt. Start and finish are on Avenida de Tarongers, not at the December marathon’s finish.
Official sources checked 20 October 2026. The runner’s assigned wave and later organiser instructions take precedence.
Seven starting waves
All times are local to Valencia: CET (UTC+1) after the overnight clock change. Set a manual watch back one hour. Check your bib rather than choosing a wave from this table. Adapted-category arrangements can differ; use the organiser’s individual instructions.
| Wave | Start |
|---|---|
| 1 | 08:25 |
| 2 | 08:30 |
| 3 | 08:35 |
| 4 | 08:48 |
| 5 | 09:01 |
| 6 | 09:14 |
| 7 | 09:27 |
Collect the bib before Sunday
Number collection is at Expo 21K, Feria Valencia, on Friday 23 and Saturday 24 October, 09:00–21:00. No bibs are handed out on race day. Check the guide for collection documents and any authorised third-party collection procedure.
Start, finish and time limits
The start is on Avenida de Tarongers near Avenida de Cataluña. The finish is on the same avenue near the Universitat de València economics faculty. Plan a meeting point outside the finish channel; do not head for the full marathon’s finish at the City of Arts and Sciences.
The regulations allow 2 hours 45 minutes from crossing the start, with the event finishing by 12:20. They also require runners reaching 10 km after 11:00 to leave the race. These are organiser limits, not a Livebib finish prediction.
Following a runner and finding results
Use the organiser’s current guide for its tracking and results announcements. Earlier-edition rankings are historical results, not the 2026 classification. Agree a post-finish meeting point in advance, leave crossing points clear and follow marshals rather than trying to move along the racing line.
Valencia’s 21K, with its own start and finish
The Medio Maratón Valencia is the half marathon. It is a separate event from the city’s full marathon, with different race-day instructions.
When someone says they are racing in Valencia, first check which distance they mean. This page concerns the Medio Maratón Valencia, the road half marathon, not the full marathon held later in the year. The distinction matters for everything from travel dates to a spectator’s meeting point. A familiar photograph of another Valencia race is not a reliable way to find this event’s finish. Use the half-marathon course map and the runner’s own instructions instead.
For the runner, the useful planning unit is the assigned starting wave. A published first start describes the front of the event, not necessarily the time you cross the line. Check the allocation on your bib and in the organiser’s messages before arranging breakfast, transport or a meeting with friends. The edition guide separates the wave schedule from number collection so that an early start does not hide a bib-collection deadline.
For spectators, agree on a visible landmark and an alternative meeting plan if mobile service is busy. Do not promise an exact passing time from a target pace alone: reaching a start line, stopping at aid stations and moving through the field all affect the day. Official timing and classifications belong to the organiser. A voluntary Livebib broadcast is separate and only exists when a participant chooses to share one.
