From Ystad to the hills, woods and coast of Österlen — then west along the sea to the same square again.

The GAX begins and ends at S:t Knuts torg in Ystad. Its hundred-mile route follows large parts of Skåneleden through inland tracks and Brösarp’s hills before reaching Haväng, Stenshuvud and the long coastal return past Sandhammaren and Kåseberga.

Forest paths, gravel roads, beaches and exposed coastline make the pace change throughout the day and night. Livebib shows where the runner is on the loop, which checkpoints are behind them and when the route is expected to close back on Ystad.
