The flattest fast half in the world

A sea-level loop of Copenhagen where a world record has been set, run in front of a city that comes out for it.

CPH Half is one of the fastest half marathon courses anywhere and a founding pillar of the SuperHalfs series. The route is a flat loop through Indre By, Nørrebro, Frederiksberg and Østerbro, never far from sea level and never far from a crowd — Geoffrey Kamworor ran 58:01 here in 2019, which was the world record at the time. More than twenty-seven thousand runners enter every September, a large share of them from outside Denmark and most of them chasing a time.

In 2026 Copenhagen also hosts the World Athletics Road Running Championships, which puts the championship fields on the same streets. Livebib puts the loop on the map with the runner on it, distance covered, and an arrival estimate for the finish that updates with every split — one link for everyone standing at the barrier trying to pick one person out of a field that size.
