What Livebib is
Livebib shows a runner, rider or hiker live on a map while they race, so friends and family can follow every step and cheer them on.
What is a broadcast?
A broadcast is one person's race or outing, live. It has its own page with the map, where they are right now, when they should reach the next checkpoint and finish, the weather where they are, and a chat to cheer in.
The position comes from the Livebib app on the runner's phone, or from the race's own timing. After the finish the broadcast stays up as a replay.
Do I need an account to watch?
No. Anyone with the link can watch a broadcast, and public broadcasts are listed on Livebib and on the race's page. You do not need to install anything; it works in the browser on your phone or computer.
What does an account add?
With an account you can write in the chat, give a broadcast a heart, follow runners so you hear when they start, and set up your own broadcasts. There is no password: you sign in with a code we email you.
Can I broadcast my own race?
Yes. Create a broadcast on the web, link it to your race, and either broadcast your position with the Livebib app or attach the race's own tracking link. “Start a broadcast” in the help explains each step.
