# Log in with a code

Livebib has no password. Type your email address, and we email you a six-digit code that signs you in.

## How do I log in?

1. Open the menu (☰) and tap “Log in”.
2. Type your email address and tap “Email me a code”.
3. Open the email from Livebib and type the code under “Code from the email”.
4. Tap “Sign in”.

> The first time you sign in, that code creates your account. There is no separate sign-up.

## The code didn't arrive

- Look in your spam or junk folder.
- Check that the address is spelled right.
- If you asked for several codes in a short time, wait a while before asking again. Any code that has not expired still works.
- The code works for 15 minutes. If it has expired, ask for a new one.

> Closed the page while you waited? Tap “Already have a code?” to type it in without sending a new email.

## Skip the email next time with a passkey

A passkey signs you in with Face ID, your fingerprint or your device lock. After you sign in with a code you are offered one: tap “Add a passkey”. You can also add one under Settings, “Account & security”.

Next time, tap “Sign in with a passkey” instead of asking for a code.

## Log out

Open Settings and tap “Sign out” at the bottom. To sign out every other device at once, open “Account & security” and tap “Sign out other devices”.
