Follow runners and get notified
Follow a runner and you get a notification when they start a broadcast. Their broadcasts also gather under “Following”.
Follow someone
- Open the runner's profile, for example by tapping their name on a broadcast.
- Tap “Follow”.
The runner can see that you follow them. Nobody else can.
Which notifications do I get?
- When the runner starts a broadcast. For a race with a set start time, it comes shortly before the start.
- When they finish, or if they leave the race.
Only public broadcasts notify followers. Your phone or browser must allow notifications from Livebib.
Where do I see them?
Open the menu (☰) and tap “Following” for the broadcasts of everyone you follow. Settings, “Notifications” lists what Livebib has told you.
Stop following
Open the runner's profile and tap “Following” to stop.
When someone follows you
When someone starts following you, you get a notification with their name: “Anna started following you”. When many follow at once they come together in one: “Anna and 4 others started following you”.
Don't want it? Under Settings, “Notifications”, switch off “When someone starts following me”. The Livebib app has the same switch in its notification settings.
Your name when you follow someone
People you follow get a notice with your name. Off: the notice says someone new follows them. You still appear in their followers list.
Choose under Settings, “Notifications”, “Show my name when I start following someone”.
