The chat: cheer with everyone watching
The chat is open to everyone watching the broadcast. Anyone can read it; to write you need to log in.
Write in the chat
- Open the “Chat” tab.
- Write your cheer in the box and tap “Send”.
- Not logged in? You are asked to, and your message is sent right after.
The chat shows the name on your account. Change it under Settings, “Your profile”.
Does the runner see it?
Yes. The runner gets the cheers on their phone during the race, and can read the whole chat afterwards. Station passages and the finish show up in the chat as dividers.
Why can't I write?
- “Slow mode” in the box: the chat has slow mode on, so wait a few seconds between messages.
- “slow down — too fast”: you sent many messages quickly. Wait and try again.
- “you can't post here”: you have been timed out or banned in this chat.
- “The chat has closed”: the race finished a while ago.
- On a replay or a demo the chat is read-only.
Can I delete or report a message?
Only the runner and the moderators they chose can delete messages. There is no report button: if something is wrong, the runner or a moderator can remove it, or you can tell us through “Feedback”.
