Find your way around a broadcast

A broadcast page has the map on top and the rest in tabs: what is happening now, the runner's updates, the numbers, the course and the chat.

The bar at the top

  • The heart: give the broadcast a heart. The number is how many have.
  • The share arrow: share the link, or the pictures and films once the race is over.
  • The menu (☰): the board, races, your settings, the language and this help.

What is in each tab?

  • “Live”: the map, where the runner is, the next checkpoint and the expected finish.
  • “Updates”: the runner's own posts and photos, and Livebib AI's commentary.
  • “Stats”: the route, the elevation profile, pace, weather along the way and the finish estimate over time.
  • “About”: the checkpoints and cutoffs, the runner's standing and the course in numbers.
  • “Chat”: cheer with everyone else who is watching.

On a wide screen the tabs are one long page and the chat sits beside it.

Not started, live, finished

  • “Not started”: a countdown to the start, the course and the weather forecast for the start.
  • “LIVE”: the runner is on the course and the page updates by itself.
  • “Ended”: the result, the whole track, and a replay of the race.
  • “Out of the race”: the runner stopped before the finish. The page shows where and when.

What is a demo?

A broadcast marked “Demo” is a recorded run played back as if it were live, so you can see how a race looks on Livebib at any hour. The chat is read-only there, and you cannot cheer or send messages.
